Product Description

Charas (Hindustani) is the name given to a hashish form of cannabis which is handmade in the Indian subcontinent and Jamaica.[1] It is a cannabis concentrate made from the resin of the cannabis plant (Cannabis sativa or Cannabis indica).[2] The plant grows wild throughout Northern India along the stretch of the Himalayas (its putative origin) and is an important cash crop for the local people. The difference between charas and hashish is that hashish is made from a dead cannabis plant and charas is made from a live one.

Produced by carefully rubbing the female buds between the hands. The resin is rolled in Hash-Balls, before shipment it’s pressed in the usual slabs. Color: Black on the outside, dark greenish/brown inside. Smell: Spicy to very spicy. Distinctive aroma. Taste: Very spicy, somewhat harsh on the throat but definitively less so than Afghani. Consistency: Very soft, can be kneaded easily like Afghani. Sometimes quite powdery though always dense. Effect: Very stony and physical high. Cerebral. Potency: Potent to very potent. Like Nepali, Charas is almost always good smoke. (10-26% THC) Availability: Very rare, from time to time very small quantities become available. Most Hash of this kind is imported by private travellers to India. As expected the price is very high, in the range of Nepali. Charas is usually sold as a ‘finger’, which is a sausage shaped piece of hash. buy weed online

WHAT IS CHARAS AND WHERE DOES IT COME FROM?

Charas is a type of cannabis extract very similar to hashish. It is handmade, and is thought to originate from regions of Asia, in particular India, Pakistan, and Nepal. Like most cannabis extracts, it is made by separating the trichomes from cannabis plant matter to produce a highly-concentrated extract. These trichomes are usually found to form a frosty, sticky layer on cannabis flowers and, to a lesser extent, stems and leaves.

Unlike the edible cannabis-based drink bhang, charas is a hand-rolled form of hashish that is smoked rather than ingested in a drink. One of the similarities between the two most popular forms of cannabis available in India is that they both require freshly harvested cannabis vs. cannabis that has been dried and cured, as is the standard in Western culture.

Charas is similar to hash in that they are both concentrated forms of cannabis, but hash is generally created with dead, dried cannabis flowers, while charas is created using fresh cannabis buds a few weeks from full maturity.
